A Flower and a Loriel

So today I went over to a friend of mine's house for a little photo shoot. Loriel, (fabulous photographer, she is). She's the one that took these lovlies. Her backyard had beautiful flowers (Donna, you're fabulous too mama), I had so much fun capturing them.

I've realized I have a soft spot for highly exposed photos. The high key function on my camera is probably my new found favorite. Also I love the flash, with the shadows it cast. I have lots of options to play with. Will definitely be showing you all what I come up with!

So for my graduation present, I got a Nikon D5000. I've been interested in getting into photography for a while now and I can finally get into. So I should be having some new and interesting entries for you. It's probably going to take me a while to get used to it, but I plan on taking plenty of photos this summer! Enjoy!

The IOU Project - Trunk Show Host - Marrisa

So I haven't posted anything in a while! Terribly sorry for the lack of updates for the 2012 Resort season. I've been busy with GRADUATION and planning for my party (which I also made my dress for. I will have to show you in a later entry).

But I want to talk again about The IOU Project. I had previously written an entry on it. If you haven't seen it, take a look here. I have recently become a Trunk Show Host for this project. YSL Resort 2012: Innovative & Nautical

As many of you, Yves Saint Laurent is my favorite designer. And this season's resort collection has not disappointed. I was definitely a fan of the nautical theme. I felt like it was done differently, innovative silhouettes, bold reds. I did appreciate the fact that there was more of an emphasis on the reds, rather than the tradition blues. The button down dresses cinched with the skinny belts were absolutely adorable. The peasant sleeve blouses were some of my favorite pieces in the collection. Below are some of my favorite pieces.
